Outdated Laws and Overwhelmed Courts Are
The Root of the Decay of American Core Family Values.
At FUAN. We’re working hard to make our mission a reality…
“To preserve and protect children and families through repairing and rebuilding current structures and organizations, to create a solid foundation for Iowa’s Families now and for generations yet to come.”
Our name says it all… FAMILIES UNITED ACTION NETWORK!
Knowledge is not power until it's put into action.
Here are a few of the areas where FUAN is making a difference. Click the 'Plus Signs' to the right to dig a little deeper.
Being there to strengthen and build up the individual and family unit through providing proper education and resources is one of the primary goals of FUAN.
We feel the trials and tribulations of life get and keep people down. Many lose hope for a better tomorrow.
We want to coordinate vital services like counseling, shelter, food, tutors, and other resources designed to strengthen families to maximize their fullest potential.
This is a project that we can't undertake completely on our own. FUAN wants to partner with other affiliated organizations that are provide the services that align with and strengthen families as well as our organization.
Know anyone who's making a difference? Help get us together for lunch to see if together we can be better than the sum of our parts.

Helping to strengthen and build up the individual and family unit through providing proper education and resources is a primary goal of FUAN.
We feel the trials and tribulations of life are hard to handle. They can keep people down. We provide access to services like counseling, shelter, food, tutors, and other resources to strengthen families to maximize their fullest potential.
Children, because they are powerless, often pay a bigger price when a family breaks up. Kids often blame themselves for the split. They may act out at home or school with attention-getting behavior.
Spousal and Child Abuse is often a cause of family disintegration. Children separated due to abuse from their caregivers; parents, extended families, or foster families, need an advocate. FUAN has their back.
It’s not only parents and children who are adversely affected by a family breakup. There’s the grandparents, great grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins who can be hurt deeply when divorce, especially nasty ones, occur.
Who will be there to help the whole family? FUAN will, of course.
FUAN’s Research Committee is designed to help research current legislation in Iowa, history of the current legislation, attempted changes, success, & failures, dates, and WHY.
The goal of this committee is to know where the current family law systems began, how we have gotten to where we are, what has been tried (good and bad ); so that we do not try to reinvent the wheel, but rather join together the puzzle pieces of the spokes to roll this project further as a team!
